Fjord and Mountain Tour

The RV 41 from Vrådal to Brunkeberg and the E 134 westwards passing Åmot, Mjonøy arts and craft center and Vinje Biletgalleri, a short walk up on the hill side housing a fine collection of paintings by the celebrated artist Henrik Sørensen.

The Haukeli Crossroad where RV 9 forks off towards Setesdal and Kristiansand. Haukeliseter, 1000 m above sea level, is a recommended point of departure for hikes on the Hardangervidda high mountain plateau. Dyreskar max altitude of the old road (1100 m above sea level) - through tunnels and down hair-pins to Røldal with a stave church from the 12th century - ascending again to the Seljestad pass, deccending to the village of Seljestad.

The RV 47 from Steinaberg bridge to Odda at the end of the Sørfjord branch of the Hardangerfjord, passing the famous waterfall of Låtefoss, 400 m long with a drop of 165 m.

Continue along beautifull Hardangerfjord with views of Folgefonn, the second largest glacier of Norway.

Returning the same way back to Åmot where you may choose RV 38 as an alternate route back to Vrådal.
