Panoramatour via Rjukan

RV 41 Vrådal - Brunkeberg, E 134 past Morgedal and "The Norwegian Ski Adventure Center (see tour 1) to Åmot with the Harald Kihle Art Collection - RV 37 through scenic Rauland, climbing up to Møsvanndammen, (highest point 1050 m above sea level) with a splendid view of the Hardangervidda high mountain plateau.

Descendig the narrow and steep valley of Vestfjorddalen towards Rjukan - stop at the first tunnel for a breathtaking peep down the gorge of Maristjuvet - to Vemork (of Heavy Water Sabotage fame) with Norsk Industriarbeidermuseum (Norwegian Industrial Labourer`s Museum) and to the industrial town of Rjukan. Cable lift to Gverpseborg with famous view of the town and surrounding mountains.

From Rjukan past the peak of Gaustatoppen (1883 m above sea level, highest in Telemark). Travel by train to the top of the mountain. The train goes to the top inside the mountain. Further on through the valley of Tuddal (charming local museum) to Sauland. E 134 through Flatdal to the centre of Seljord with 12th century church outside wich Anne Grimdalen´s relief of the prelate and poet M.B Landstad an "Sterke-Nilsesteinen" the stone of 570 kg, lifted by the legedary fiant Strong Nils.

In the summer season "Seljordsutstillinga", celebrated art exhibition, E 134 to Brunkeberg and RV 41 back to Vrådal.
