The Storehouse
Our small storehouse is an excellent room for a small, intimate party with table settings for up to 14 people.
Here you can enjoy good food and drink inside the storehouse or in the yard outside with a fire and serving from the black pot.
Here, slightly larger groups can also enjoy an aperitif before moving to the hotel’s restaurant.
Celebration in your own room
At Historiske Straand Hotel, we have a good selection of screened rooms that are suitable for different types of events and celebrations.
Most of our premises can be reserved for your particular party.
Cellar
The hotel’s exclusive wine cellar can also be used for celebrations, with or without food service.
Here you can arrange wine tasting and dining with table setting for a 5-course gourmet dinner for up to 20 people.
One of our recommended taste experiences is “The Taste of Mountain Telemark” where 3 tastings of local ingredients are served, with suitable wines.
Banqueting
Our gourmet restaurant Bestemorstua is a suitable venue for parties up to 55 people. Here the table is set with candles and white tablecloths and we can adapt further decoration in relation to your wishes.
For large parties, we can also divide the main restaurant into up to 3 separate rooms and decorate for parties.
Bar and pub
At Straand Hotel, we also have our own bar rooms that can be used for your party. Here we have Straand Dancing located close to the reception and the pleasant Skjusstasjonen pub, decorated with photos and documents from our long history.
