Experience Telemark from the water with a trip aboard the historic MS Fram.
This package combines a comfortable stay at Straand Hotel with a lock cruise on beautiful Nisser.
Start the day with a good breakfast before heading out onto the lake. Along the way, you sail through a beautiful island landscape with great views of mountains and forests – and with a great view of Vrådal Golf Course from the seaside. In high season, we turn around out on the big fjord at the vertical mountain wall Tarjeisberg.
The trip also goes through Northern Europe’s highest locks, which makes the experience extra special and gives a historical insight into how the waterways in the area have been used through the ages. It is also possible to visit the lock museum at the lock in Småstraum.
From the deck of MS Fram, you experience nature at a leisurely pace, with fresh air and constantly new vantage points – a perfect contrast to everyday life.
After the trip, you can enjoy life back at the hotel with good meals, pleasant common areas and relaxing surroundings by the water.
