We process your personal data in accordance with the Norwegian Personal Data Act in force at any time (GDPR).
WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT AND WHY WE COLLECT IT
Personal data related to bookings and stays
We use an external data processor as the supplier of our booking system. Personal data added while using the booking system, in connection with bookings, will be stored in our booking system.
In connection with your booking, done by you or others on your behalf, we will process those personal data we need to fulfil our contractual obligations to you for bookings and purchases of services. These are data you have supplied us with directly or through a travel agency or agent. We will process information about your identity, your contact information and payment information. In some cases we will store your passport number. In addition we will process other information you might have given us and which is relevant for your stay with us. This can be information about allergies or special requests for your stay. We register all purchases and bookings you make with us, for instance spa, restaurant, room service, etc. to be able to deliver those services and for you to be able to pay for them.
We process these data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the booking contract with you, and for as long as current statutory or regulatory instruments require us to do so.

A persistent cookie remains on your device for a specific period of time. A session cookie is stored temporarily in your device’s memory while you are browsing our web pages. The session cookie disappears when you close your browser. We use both persistent cookies and session cookies. Straand Hotel can also use third-party cookies.
If you don’t want us to store cookies, you can turn off cookies in your browser or open an Incognito Window in your browser.
We use Facebook pixel to give visitors on our web pages relevant offers and to track how much traffic our web pages generate through these offers.
Embedded content from other web sites
Articles on this page can include embedded content (eg. videos, pictures, articles, etc.) Embedded content from other web sites behave exactly like if the visitor had visited the web site the embedded content came from.
WHO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH
We do not pass on your personal data to third parties, unless you have given your consent to this or unless current legislation, including the Norwegian Personal Data Act and GDPR, regulatory requirements or court orders permit or require us to do so.
As a matter of form, we state that our use of data processors to process data on our behalf does not count as passing on data.
YOUR RIGHTS WHEN IT COMES TO THE DATA WE HAVE ABOUT YOU
As an individual, you have several rights under the General Data Protection Regulation.
You have the right of access to and rectification or erasure of the personal data we process on you. You also have the right to restrict processing and to object to the processing, and the right to data portability.
If you wish to have access to our processing of your personal data, you can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will reply to your enquiry as soon as possible.
We will ask you to confirm your identity or ask you to provide additional information before we allow you to exercise your rights with regard to our processing of your data. We have to do this to satisfy ourselves that we are only giving access to your personal data to you – and not to someone pretending to be you.
