Driving on the airstrip on Saturday - organized driving on a closed track without a competitive element
Saturday from 10:00 (departure from the hotel at 09:00) until 14:00
Straand MC hub and Viken Motorsport Club are arranging a Motorsport Norway event at the airstrip in Fyresdal (closed area). The purpose of the event is to learn how to handle their own car better and further develop the drivers’ driving skills. Planned exercises are Autoslalom and Street-Legal (according to regulations from Motorsport Norway). With the event, the organizers want each participant to further develop their driving skills and become better acquainted with their own car and the characteristics it has. We want to contribute to the zero vision in the injury statistics on Norwegian roads by contributing to safer and more secure drivers. It is therefore important for us to reach out to different types of drivers and types of cars. We want an individual focus where our goal is that each driver is developed based on the level they themselves are at.
Event manager: Eddie Mathisen, course instructor Vidar Lavoll and his team, have experience in carrying out similar events and that they led us through similar events last year. The safety of drivers, other participants, officials and spectators is a top priority. Our goal is to create an annual event with a focus on road safety and skills development. We believe that driving skills are perishable and need to be regularly renewed and developed.
- Course fee: NOK 250,-
- One-time license carries NOK 150,-
- Passenger license kr. 100,- per participant sitting on
