We are looking for a professionally skilled, service-minded and committed person for the position of caretaker at our hotel. We are looking for a positive, reliable, structured, flexible and responsible person with relevant experience who can be part of the solid caretaker staff we have.
The hotel is open all year round and our guests come from all over the world. Our guests are family and leisure guests, tour operator guests and course and conference guests, so there is great variation between what happens from day to day, month to month and between the different seasons. In the summer we also have many bike, car and motorcycle enthusiasts, we are a BikersWelcome hotel and have developed a new concept called www.hubriding.no.
TASKS include:
• Daily maintenance and operation of hotel buildings and technical installations
• Minor repairs and practical tasks inside and outside
• Follow-up of outdoor areas, snow clearance, simple maintenance of machines, etc.
• Contribute to the hotel appearing tidy, secure and in good condition for our guests
This is you:
• Are practical and solution-oriented
• Have good collaboration skills and can work independently
• Preferably have experience from janitorial work, construction, operation or similar
• Have a certificate for hot work and an interest in water chemistry (we have a pool)
• Have a license for a car and tractor, preferably also a mini-bus.
• Must be Norwegian
We also need to take on the role of host and are a service-minded person who is genuinely concerned about quality in the guest experience.

Right in the heart of Telemark, in a postcard landscape with rolling rocks, beautiful beaches and national romantic mountains, the historic Straand Hotel looks out over Lake Nisser and the village of Vrådal. It is a short distance to Vrådal from both south, east and west, and here you can swim, hike or climb in the mountains, cycle, play golf, fish, go on a lock trip with the veteran boat M/S Fram or find your own swimming spot in the inland archipelago in the summer.
