Do you want a summer party out of the ordinary? We can facilitate good food, accommodation and tailor-made activities based at Straand Hotel. In Vrådal you have both a golf course, paddling opportunities and nice hiking terrain right near the hotel – and in the summer we have our own beach bar at the water’s edge in our own holiday paradise. The restaurant is often central when we arrange summer parties. Here we can gather up to 370 people at once. Here you have the opportunity to book your own room, such as Bestemorstua (room for 50 people) or a separate hall. Down by Lake Nisser, we have created our own southern paradise during the summer months. At Sommarland beach bar you can combine a dip, games and water sports during the day with a set table, all rights and entertainment in the evening.
Summer idyll in Vrådal
A summer party at Straand Hotel can include both nice experiences in nature, good food and drink and entertainment.
How about starting the day with a bike ride in the terrain, paddling in our lakes, cycling in beautiful nature or maybe a game of golf on one of Norway’s most beautiful golf courses on Fossøy? After an active day outside, it is suitable to relax on the roof terrace or in the apple orchard with something good in your glass, or perhaps a trip to the swimming pool at the hotel.
Dinner can be enjoyed both in our main restaurant, on the roof terrace or down by the water in our beach bar before the party starts…

Beach party with parasol drinks or barbecue and a good atmosphere? The hotel’s rooftop terrace can be transformed into a party space in the summer. Here we decorate with flowers and colors to set the right mood. The terrace has its own bar and lovely views of the inland archipelago in Vrådal.

We set up a grill with our own chef who serves delicious barbecue food on the roof terrace. Here you can enjoy the sun from morning to evening, with background music and beautiful views of Lake Nisser.
Summer cruise on Nisser
Our veteran boat M/S Fram can be chartered. Climb aboard, receive a glass with something bubbly in it and join us on a cruise on Nisser and Vråvatn. See the beautiful inland archipelago from the seaside.
5-course meal in a wine cellar
We light candles and set the table in our own wine cellar. Enjoy the food and drink in distinctive surroundings surrounded by the scent of wine bottles, the sound of soft music and the taste of Fjell-Telemark.

Do you dream of having a pool party – perhaps with a water polo match? Then you can rent our swimming pool with outdoor areas. Here we can roll in a bar by the pool and offer barbecue and a dance area just outside.

A good starting point for team building
Stabburet is Norway’s smallest inn, with room for 20 people! Here we serve cured meats or game stew and mulled wine in the black pot. The old timber walls create a magical atmosphere. It was here in the yard at Bestemorstoga that our story started in 1864. If you want a historical cultural feature, it can be booked!

The veteran boat MS Fram creates a unique setting for the party. Here you can be served lunch on board at the pier or out on the water. The boat has dining seating for up to 40 people and sails from the hotel and around the beautiful inland archipelago at Nisser.

Skjusstasjonen Pub is a sure winner if you want to have a party indoors. The pub is suitable for activities such as après-ski, kahoot, quizzes, beer and wine tasting, or you can just enjoy having your own pub to yourself.

If you book a party in our largest hall, it is perfect with live music from the stage and dancing on the parquet! Here you can both eat, swing and really hit the big drum with the whole company. If there are several hundred of you at the table, we can open the walls and use the entire congress area.
