Experience new cycling pleasures with us in beautiful Vrådal. Discover the magic of cycling with us and Nome Trail Biking! We invite you to the first edition of the Straand Watt meeting, a collaboration with local clubs and players in the industry.
We offer guided tours that cover all skill levels, led by our experienced club members who know Vrådal’s trails well. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced cyclist, we have routes that are perfect for you. Maybe it’s your first time cycling? Everyone is welcome to join regardless of skill level.
Mobility, health, sustainability and costs are keywords in everyone’s everyday life and reality and occupy us more and more. Reality hits us and affects our individual freedom of action, and in some contexts they have a limiting effect on our ability to maintain our freedom or facilitate ourselves. We humans like freedom, we want to control our own everyday lives, when we want and where we want. The e-bike has in the course of a few years and really quite quickly given us the opportunities and freedom back. The e-bike has made it possible for the “everyman” to do things they previously could not accomplish and therefore also offers a considerable amount of mastery – regardless of level or ambitions.
The problem of the “everyman” is often related to the challenge of finding one’s way in a jungle of choices and options. The challenge is often related to our own ability to understand what we really want and actually need, and then make the right choice that then provides maximum cycling pleasure. We intend to do something about this and we will make it easier for the “everyman” to choose the right bike to create greater cycling pleasure – THAT IS OUR GOAL. There will be exhibitors and resource persons available for guidance and questions.
About the event
The Watt meeting will facilitate good cycling experiences in beautiful nature while at the same time you will be able to learn, try and understand which bike or type of bike you actually need. This is about finding your way in a jungle of information, brands, information and uses.
This weekend, we want to gather a lot of expertise, different types of bikes and brands, so that you can get a better insight into what the market offers and not least what is right for you. We are in dialogue with sports shops, chains and importers and we know that there are several players who have already set aside this weekend to help give our guests a good experience.
We have created a network of cycling routes around Straand hotel that are adapted to the everyday cyclist, commuter, exerciser, trail cyclist and not least the extreme specialist who is really looking for challenges. In this particular environment, you can test ride the bikes according to your own preferences and goals.
During this event, we will show you the way into your right environment and let you try, experience and feel which type of bike or model is right for you. We will familiarize you with the areas of use, capacities and limitations, so that you have the best possible basis for deciding which type or brand to choose, whether you are new to this area and want help finding what you need.
With the “Watt meeting”, we will help you who are an active cyclist to have the opportunity to unfold in beautiful nature together with like-minded people and maybe you are looking for a new bike that one of our exhibitors can tempt you with? Welcome!
Practical information:
You can choose whether you want to stay at the hotel or at Vrådal holiday apartments located 600 meters west of the hotel and the exhibition area in beautiful Vrådal. The studios and apartments are 100 metres from the shop and have their own cooking facilities.

Who is in the target group and who is coming to us this weekend?
We primarily cater to the “everyman”, the ordinary man or woman who wants to ride a bike, learn, make new acquaintances, explore and find joy in cycling. You range from avid cyclist to being curious about what makes so many people start cycling, you are also sufficiently aware that you want to make new acquaintances. You’re probably a person who can’t do everything, but you’re willing to learn and maybe even get into a cycling environment that offers social belonging and joy.
It may also be that you are actually a specialist and a bit extreme, we have plavss for you too.

Program
- NB: The event is open to everyone regardless of whether you are staying at the hotel or not. Welcome to pleasant socializing and cycling in beautiful Vrådal.
Friday
- Arrival and check-in. Walking in the bicycle exhibition that stands in the exhibition area. Bike ride for those who want it.
- 17:00 Possibility of bike ride for those who want it (There will be a ride at red level – advanced)
Saturday
- Cycling, test drives for those who want to test some of what the exhibitors come up with and social fun.
- 10:00 Bike rides starting from the hotel
- Option 1: Vrådal around the terrain – Blue trail (also for beginners). Calmly unfold where we see Vrådal from all sides. Approx. 23 km
- Option 2: Rowing mountain with downhill in the climbs – Red trail (more demanding)
- 13:00 Both bike rides end at Småstraum lock where we board the veteran boat MS Fram for a boat trip on beautiful Nisser
- Sale of drinks and light refreshments on board
- Price boat trip 250,- incl. one unit of drinks
- From approx. 3 pm there will be an after-bike on the roof terrace
Sunday
- 10:00 Bike ride starting from the hotel, join us for great rock biking at the top of Vrådal Panorama Ski Center
