Enjoy a great winter experience for the whole family at Straand Hotel in the heart of Telemark!

The historic Straand Hotel is a family-run hotel dating back to 1864. A hidden gem in Telemark, surrounded by beautiful nature and adventurous winter experiences. Here you can relax and enjoy the surroundings in beautiful Vrådal while filling up on great experiences and memories for the whole family.

A typical winter day with us starts with breakfast at the hotel, before the two youngest generations might hop on the shuttle bus to the Vrådal Panorama ski resort for a few hours on the slopes. The grandparents may choose to relax a little extra at the hotel, before taking their legs for a lovely walk in beautiful Telemark nature to the resort.

At lunchtime, they might meet in the café in Vrådal Panorama for coffee and snacks, before the younger ones head back down the slopes. The great thing about Vrådal Panorama is that all the slopes end at the same warming room, so you don't have to worry about your children or grandchildren ending up in the neighboring valley on the other side of the mountain. In the afternoon, you can take the shuttle bus back to Straand Hotel together. Here you can relax in front of the hotel's fireplace after an active day out in the fresh air.

And if it's Saturday, we've transformed the roof terrace into an après-ski - with a fire in the fire pit and stumps with skins to sit on, sausages with bread or lompe and cured meats, coffee and cocoa, some music and a great atmosphere!

After a good dinner together, it may also be tempting to get some fresh air in the evening. You can go tobogganing on the alpine slope or ice skating at the parking lot in Vrådal Panorama.

And if you're looking for a romantic experience for two, we recommend renting the sauna at the top of the resort!
